Some Common Employee Perks.

1. Convenient work hours.

Enabling employees to rearrange their core workweek might help them achieve a better work-life balance, particularly if they have children, extended families, or extracurricular activities. Avoiding rush-hour traffic and resolving scheduling problems with family members can greatly reduce stress and improve on-the-job satisfaction and performance.

2. A relaxed or casual dress code.

Set aside some days for casual attire, or, depending on your industry, do away with the dress code entirely. By removing the need to purchase and dry-clean pricey dress apparel, a relaxed or no dress code can save your team money. It also removes distractions linked to the dress code and enables your workers to feel more at ease and like themselves while at work.

3. Working remotely.

Give your staff the choice to telecommute, participate in video conferences, or work from home at least once per week if your company and the position permit it. Contrary to popular belief, productivity does not suffer when working remotely. According to research, approximately 80% of workers who worked remotely a few times per month claimed to be more productive when doing so.

4. Vacations.

It would be logistically impossible for workers to take more than a week or two off at a time at the majority of workplaces. Yet, providing a longer sabbatical after, say, five years of employment might set your business apart from the competition while giving your employee a lot of time to rest and recharge. Fewer than 5% of businesses provide sabbaticals, yet those that do report increased productivity, job satisfaction, and employee retention.

Most Sabbaticals are tied to years of employment, but they can be devised in ways that better suit your company’s framework and goals.

5. Seasonal Hours.

Let employees leave an hour or two early on Fridays throughout the summer if the nature of your business permits it. Your employees may believe that you have improved their morale during the mid-year lull when the weather is good outdoors. The advantages of having a more fulfilling career far outweigh the hours of lost productivity.

6. Lounge or Relaxation Area.

A fantastic strategy to encourage employee sociability, which may enhance work teams and boost morale, is to provide a leisure area with a calm ambiance and comfy sitting. Your staff members can unwind in a lounge area after a tough day at work or a laborious assignment. A slumber room can provide comparable stress-relieving advantages. According to research, naps can help with problem-solving, increase alertness, and reduce stress.

Perks

Happy workers are more likely to put in more effort and stick around for the long run. Incentives to show appreciation for employees and employee benefits are crucial because of this. Most employers would like to provide more support for their staff, but the expense or time commitment prevents them from doing so.
